Important:
People wearing shorts, low-cut clothing or with uncovered shoulders may not be admitted into museums and churches. If you have a metal coated pacemaker, you will need to show your pacemaker identification card at the security check points. Your passport is needed to verify identity in order to enter the Vatican. No other form of identification is accepted. The Vatican has the right to deny entrance to anyone who cannot verify their identity.

Permission from the management of the museum is required for making drawings or sketches in the museum. Permission must also be obtained to use tripods and other professional equipment.
Due to heightened security we do not recommend bringing umbrellas or strollers.

Addtional Information:After the Vatican Museums, it is up to the Vatican authorities to let the visitors directly into the Basilica with skip the line or divert them out to St. Peter’s Square. If the latter happens, the visitors will have to queue to enter the Church. Popular attraction! Due to high demand, this tour is not confirmed until closer to the date.
